Spice Girls Rock Olympic Closing Ceremony

The Spice Girls performance was widely talked about in the media last week when it was confirmed that they would be performing in the closing ceremony for the Olympic games in London. I absolutely loved their performance and thought it was a great thing for them to get back together for one night to rock the stage. Even London Mayor Boris Johnson was seen dancing and clearly enjoying their performance.

Victoria Beckham tweeted the above photo after the performance saying "We did it!! I love you girls so much!!!! xxx vb" followed by Geri tweeting "That was amazing!!! Thank you all, we love you!!xx"

It seems that the girls partied all night as Emma Bunton tweeted a photo of herself, Geri and Mel B with Liam Gallagher saying "Party till the break of dawn, and Mel is still in her outfit". However, it seems Victoria Beckham and Mel C must have called it a night as they didn't appear in the photo.

The Spice Girls may have called it a day but it was great seeing them perform together last night and I suppose I've got the musical Viva Forever to look forward to in December. It's sad to see the Olympics come to an end but I say roll on the Paralympics!
